Our staff are a vital component to the whole experience in our restaurant. Here at the Genting Thai Restaurant we are blessed to have an experienced, highly skilled, professional team in our kitchen, all of whom are originally from Thailand and have been with us since day one when we first opened in 2004. Many of our senior serving staff are also with us for a long time, and our team has grown with us as we have grown. You will definitely be in the best hands with our dedicated serving staff, and their goal is to make your experience with us a very enjoyable one.
Meet your Servers
Mano is our Floor Manager and he has been working in Genting since 2018 and brings over 20 years experience in management, overseeing all the Genting Thai Team. He has been in the Food & Beverage industry over 32 years, with 22 of those years working here in Killarney.
Nam is Head of our Serving Team and has been working with us since 2017. She has over 22 years experience in Thai Restaurants & previously had her own restaurant in Cork. She assists all our Thai customers with special orders and communicates fluently to our team of Thai chefs, and is a real asset to us.
Malika has been working with us since 2020 & has several years experience in Asian cuisine restaurants. She is originally from Tajikistan and has been living in Killarney for many years.
Loui has also been working with us since 2020. He originally comes from Taiwan and has come here to build his experience working for an Asian Cuisine Restaurant.
Meet your Chefs
Chatchai is our Executive Chef and Manager of our kitchen operations and has been working with us here at the Genting Thai, along with his 2 brothers since 2004, when we first started trading in Killarney. Originally from Bangkok in Thailand, Chatchai has been living in Ireland since 1999, and Killarney since 2004.
Meng is our Head Chef, and along with his 2 brothers Chatchai and Chuan, he has been working with us since 2004 . Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, he has been living in Ireland for the last 22 years… and he makes the best Phad-Thai ever! Meng is also is a qualified sushi chef.
Chuan is our Sous-chef here at Genting and along with brothers Chatchai and Meng, has been working with us since 2004 when we first opened in Killarney. Also originally from Bangkok, Thailand, he too has been living in Ireland since 2003… and he makes the best noodle soup!
Joy is also our Sous-chef here at Genting, and he and his wife have been in Ireland over 20 years. Joy has been working with us since 2008 and is a very committed chef & devotes his all to his job.
Yen is our newly appointed Sous Chef. He has over 8 years experience working in Asian Kitchen environments. He has been in Ireland since 2018 and loves Killarney, and he is looking forward to his journey with us at the Genting Thai Restaurant.
Nok is our Chef de partie and she controls our line-up, and is vital in the running of our kitchen. She has been working with us at Genting Thai since we first opened in Killarney in 2004. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, she has been living in Ireland since 2003.
Juan is also our Chef de partie here at Genting and she controls our appetiser area of the kitchen. She & her husband have been in Ireland over 20 years and she has been working with us since 2008.
